Every day, Modix Plastique receives bales of plastic film by truck. These bales are subsequently unloaded and stored. They will be used for the production line.
To ensure product quality, we manually sort plastic materials at the beginning of the production line. In this way, we can minimize the potential contaminants that may be present.
The plastic film is then grind and wash to remove all contaminants and reduce the size of the plastic to prepare it to melt.
Subsequently, the material goes into a separator and goes into the drying silo to prepare it for the next step.
The plastic once dry goes to the last shredder to reduce its size again and thus facilitates the melting process of the plastic.
The liquid plastic is transferred to the extruder and cutter which allows it to be cut into small pellet which is then passed through a last sieve separator that separate them according to their size.
The pellets are then weight and bagged. A sample is taken for analysis purposes.
The super bags of pellets are then loaded into the trucks to be shipped to customers. This PET is then ready to live its next life.
